Determining recreation preferences of secondary education students according to multiple intelligence areas

Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to determine the effect of those intelligence areas on recration preferences by defning the intelligence types the secondary scholl students have according to multiple intelligence theary. A total number of 480 individuals, studing is Siirt,184 male and 296 female vorying from 14 to 17, under 18 were participated in the study. These individuals were selected randomly. The SPSS 22.0 for windows package program was used for evaluation and calculaotion of the data abtained. This questionnaire form, consists of options of 5 point Likert-Type 2 multiple intelligence inventory developed by Özden(2003) and options for demogrophic characteristics on recreational preterences. Frequency, T-test and comelation analysis were used for the analysis of the data . As a result of the analyzes, a positive and significant relationship was found between preference of individual activities and intelligence areas, while a negative and significant relationship was found between other activity groups and intelligence areas. In addition, significant relationships were found between gender and intelligence areas and recreation preferences. it is toht taht the obtained resulse Wall contribute to the related literature.
