Abstract (EN)
The aim of this research is to reveal the relationship between the ethical leadership behaviors of school principals and the job satisfaction levels of teachers, based on the views of teachers working in public secondary schools. The research was conducted with the relational screening model and quantitative research method and the population of the research consists of 501 teachers working in public secondary schools in the Central District of Yozgat, in the 2019-2020 academic year. Since the population was accessible, a separate sample was not determined. In the study, the scales were delivered to all teachers who constituted the research population, and the data was collected from 280 teachers. Ethical Leadership Scale and Minnesota Satisfaction Scale were used as the data collection tools. The data was analyzed via IBM SPSS 26.0. In the analysis of the data, descriptive statistics (mean, standard deviation), Kolmogorov-Smirnov Test, Mann-Whitney U, Kruskal Wallis-H and Spearman's Rank Correlation Coefficient analysis were used. As a result of the research, it was found that there is a positive and significant relationship between the job satisfaction levels of teachers working in secondary schools and the ethical leadership behaviors of secondary school principals perceived by the teachers. This result shows that as the ethical leadership perceptions of teachers towards school principals increase, the teachers' job satisfaction levels also increase. In addition, according to the perception of the teachers, the levels of ethical leadership behaviors of secondary school principals differ significantly according to the variables of school type and number of teachers. Nevertheless, the teachers' job satisfaction levels differ significantly according to marital status, school type, length of service and number of teachers. KEYWORDS: Leader, Leadership, Ethical Leadership, Job Satisfaction.
