Abstract (EN)

The aim of this descriptive research is to obtain actual notice about how the secondary school teachers and students effects and demands on their school management?s decision-making processes. Also, informations of the participants? are explained due to their characteristic variables.To gather the needed information in this research, a questionnaire is used which has twenty three statements used on teachers but with some differences on students that involves sixteen statements. Through the factor analysis, the questionnaire has two dimensions; an instructional dimension and an administrative dimension. Four Likert type scale is used to evaluate the participants? perceptions.The questionnaires are taken by researcher?s self to the eight secondary school in Beypazarı, where is a district of Ankara. According to these school visitations may have been occured many times in 2008-2009 Academic Year?s second term.Significance level is taken as p<.05 for difference analyses.According to findings of this research; general effection levels are found sharply lower than general demand levels about decision-making processes of school management's for both teachers and students. In addition to this result, decision?s dimension is played an important role to defining the values of effecting and demanding to decision-making processes for both teachers and students. Teachers and students think they?re more effective and willingness on decision-making processes while school management takes instructional decisions than administrative decisions.Students who are training at Anatolian High Schools, think that they are sharply unable to effect school management?s decision making processes than other schools? students? do. Also Anatolian High School students demand to effect these decision-making processes more than other schools? students.Key Words: Decision-making Process, Participant School Organisations, Secondary School Teachers, Secondary School Student
