Analysis of the effect of teaching of secondary education tenth grade language and expression lesson through creative drama method to the students? course attitudes and improvement of their social skills

This study includes analysis of the effect of teaching of secondary education tenth grade Language and Expreesion Lesson topic of Narrative Expression through creative drama method to the students? course attitudes and improvement of their social skills.The study was an experimental and controlled pretest ? posttest model formed the model of the study. Statistics were calculated by the method of quantitative research. Whether there is a significant difference between the results of attitude scale and social skill pretest of control group which was applied classical method and experimental group which was used drama method is tested via t test.All tenth grade students in Ilgaz County created the population of the study. And selected two secondary schools and their tenth grade students in Ilgaz created the sample of the study.In this study, 5 point likert type attitude scale and social skill test which are proved as valid and reliable, are used as tools. The data is analysed via SPSS package programme. Whether there is a significant difference between the pretests and posttests of attitude scale and social skill test of control and experimental groups is seperately tested via t test.Using ANOVA (F test) which is used in repetitive measurement, results were interpreted by looking the difference between groups.As a result of the study, in the Language and Expression lesson, it was clearly seen that there was a significant difference in favor of experimental group in terms of students? lesson attitudes and social skills.Keywords: Teaching of Language and Expression Lesson, creative drama, social skill, lesson attitude
