Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this study; It is the design, implementation and evaluation of STEM education activities integrated with values education at secondary school level. The research was carried out with a parallel pattern converging from mixed methods. First, the delphi technique was used to determine the values to be associated with the activities. In this technique, the values to be included in the activity were converted into a questionnaire form and opinions of 20 experts were received. 5 activities have been designed with the values determined based on the opinions of the experts. The designed activities were applied to 81 students studying in the 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grades in the 2019-2020 academic year fall semester in a public secondary school in Rize. Activities carried out with group work lasted 6 weeks. Engineering design process rubric associated with preliminary and final general interviews, activity-based interviews and values were used as data collection tools. According to the findings, STEM education activities integrated with value education were found to create an engineering-related awareness of honesty, environmental awareness, benevolence, sensitivity to cultural heritage and saving values. The activities designed, implemented and evaluated in this study provide an effective model for the integration of STEM education and value education. At the end of the study, with the experiences provided by this model, it is suggested to come up with 10 root values in the curriculum. Keywords: Values Education, STEM Education, Event Design
