Abstract (EN)

The aim of this research is to develop a model of Sun, Earth and Moon which can be used in secondary school science lessons during the "Earth and Universe" learning field of Science Curriculum to examine science teachers' opinions about the developed model, and to examine how it can be used in lessons with a sample lesson plan.In this study, case study, one of the qualitative research methods, was employed, in order to students develop a mental model of Sun, Earth, and Moon by examining detailed and deeply explanation of the learning field "Earth and Universe" . The research group includes 9 science teachers working in a middle school of 20 classes in Çorum, in 2018-2019 Education Year. Criterion sampling which is one of the purposive sampling method is prefered in choosing the teachers. The sixth grade class that the lesson plan was applied according to model-based teaching, includes 18 female and 12 male students.In the research half structured interview form was developed to get opinions of science teachers about the lesson plan and about the Sun, ;Earth ,Moon model. The form was interviewed and filled with personal information of teachers. Researcher also observed the sample lesson according to the previously prepared observation form.
