Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the accordance of informative texts in 5-8th grades Turkish textbooks in the sense of textuality criteria. To determine the conformity of the texts with the textuality characteristics, the Textuality Standards, which were defined by Iseri (2014), were applied. In this study, a total of 26 informative texts in 5, 6, 7 and 8th grade Turkish textbooks were used as data sources. The problem sentence of the study is determined as "Are the informative texts in the 5, 6, 7 and 8th grade Turkish textbooks compatible with the textuality criteria?" As a result of the research, it has been determined that the texts examined are generally in accordance with the criteria of textuality. When the readability levels are analyzed, it has been determined that eight of the examined texts are not suitable for the readability levels determined according to the grade levels. Various suggestions were made based on the results obtained from the research.
