The effect for cultural leadership role of secondary school principals to the level of learning school (İstanbul - Beykoz sample )

It is vital for schools, constructing future of individuals and societies,to renovate and adapt to the changing conditions.That's why,school directors using their leadership should pioneer this change and renovation. This research aims to analyse the effect for leadership of secondary school directors to the level of becoming a learning school. 284 teachers in 17 secondary schools in Beykoz, İstanbul are completed "Scale for Learning School" and "Scale for Cultural Leadership". Correlation coefficients are calculated for the strenght of relationship between variances. In addition, using multiple regression analysis, it is pointed out that whether the varinces affect each other or not and what the strenght of explanation is. As a result of data analysis, it is confirmed that there is a meaningful and strong relationship between the level secondary school directors fulfill their role of cultural leadership and their schools becoming a learning school. Also,there is a positive direction in this relationship. In other words, the more the level for cultural leadership of school director , the more the level for his school to become a learning school.
