Abstract (EN)

People with entrepreneurial skills have an important place in the world in terms of economic development and social transformation. Entrepreneurs contribute to the development of countries and are in a position to lead society. Social Studies is a course that helps the individual socialize. Also economic, social, technological, etc. has a relationship with subjects. The aim of this research is to determine the level of entrepreneurship of secondary school students and the views of the Social Studies teachers about gaining entrepreneurship skills in Social Studies course. In the study partial mixed sequential dominant status design was used from mixed method designs. The research was conducted in the spring semester of the 2017-2018 school year with fifth grade-level students and Social Studies teachers studying in eight state secondary schools. The data of the research was collected by scale, semi-structured interviews and personal data form. Students' entrepreneurship levels were studied according to gender, socioeconomic level, number of siblings, mother's educational status and father's educational status variables. The statistical analysis of the quantitative data of the study was computed through Statistical Package for the Social Sciences 23.0 (SPSS) software program. Qualitative data of the research was analyzed by descriptive analysis technique. As a result of the research, students' entrepreneurship levels were found to be high. There is no significant difference between the entrepreneurial levels of students and the gender variable. There is a significant difference was found between the entrepreneurial levels of the students and the socioeconomic level, the number of siblings, the educational status of the mother and the educational status of the father. Social Studies teachers have stated that Social Studies is a suitable course for gaining entrepreneurship skills. Based on the results of the research, recommendations for implementation and research have been presented.
