Examination of secondary students' core values internalization levels in terms of some variables

The aim of the research is retaining interiorisation level of core values by secondary school students. Whether core values internalization level of the students differ or not according to gender, achievement,grade and parent's education level constitute the sub-problems of the research. The sample of the research, which was configured according to quantitative screening method, is carried out in the education years of 2021-2022 at Kocaeli, Körfez Çelik Sanayi Secondary School,Seka Çocuk Dostu Secondary School and Petkim Secondary School. 745 secondary school students constitute this research who were chosen with accessible exemplification and cluster exemplification. Determining the levels of internalization of core values inventory developed by Ata and Meydan was used as a data collection tool. Otherwise, information form was used to comprehend demographic knowledge. It was necessary in the implementation process for research.Determining the levels of internalization of core values inventory consists four different scales. Every scales take shape ten likert-type items. At the scale of development process, reliability coefficient of moral sensitivity scale was found .843, reliability coefficient of moral motivation scale was found .828, reliability coefficient of moral judgment scale was found .845, reliability coefficient of moral behaviour scale was found .845. However,in this research reliability coefficient of moral sensitivity scale was found .810, reliability coefficient of moral motivation scale was found .810, reliability coefficient of moral judgement scale was found .828 and reliability coefficient of moral behaviour scale was found .860. According to inter-scale correlation analysis results, all of the core values internalization levels are in a positive and statistically significant medium and high level relationship. According to the results of t-test in the research, a significant difference was found in favor of female studuents for moral sensitivity. According to results of Anova, a significant difference was detected as stage, achievement and mother's education but there weren't any important difference for father's education level.
