Abstract (EN)
In this study, it was aimed to determine the relationships between the levels of positive psychological capital levels and school effectiveness of secondary school teachers working in Erzurum province. The data collection group of the study consists of 320 teachers who were selected by means of sampling based on probability among middle school teachers working in Erzurum province in the academic year 2018-2019. In data collection process, Positive Psychological Capital Scale was used to determine the teachers' psychological capital levels and Effective School Scale was used to determine the teachers' School Effectiveness levels. The collected data was analyzed numerically by using SPSS 15.0 (Statictical Package For Social Sciences) package program. In the analysis of the data, independent sample t-test, One-way ANOVA analysis and Pearson correlation were used along with descriptive statistical methods (frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation). Positive psychological capital levels and school effectiveness levels of teachers were examined in terms of gender, marital status, branch, age and educational status. When the research findings were examined; while there was no difference between the participants in terms of gender variable; it was observed that married teachers had higher perceptions of positive psychological capital and their sub-dimensions of self-efficacy, optimism, confidence and hope than single teachers. When examined in terms of branch variable, it was determined that the music and social studies teachers' perceptions of positive psychological capital were higher than other branch teachers. There was no significant difference in terms of age and educational status. In addition, it was concluded that there was a low positive and statistically significant relationship between positive psychological capital and school effectiveness levels.
