Abstract (EN)

In this study, the effects of the concepts learned during the 8th grade Science and Technology course on Living and Energy Relations in unit on the daily life practice, the transfer of knowledge to daily life and the attitudes towards science course were investigated. For research; two branches from 8th grade of state secondary school were selected. As a means of collecting data, the organisms and the energy relations unit consisted of a 32-item academic achievement test, a 22-item science attitude scale and a 10-item daily life transfer test. As a result of the research, only 14.41% of the students were transferred correctly, 10.88% of them answered incorrectly, 32.94% of them were unrelated, 4.41% of the students were unrelated, It was concluded that 9,70 explanations were wrong and 27,64% of the explanations were incomplete. When the correlation between life forms and energy relations achievement test and daily life transfer test and science attitude scale were examined, a significant positive correlation was found.
