Processing of the content of constitution in middle school social studies textbooks

Today, the importance of individuals do not have enough information about the country's constitution that citizens are better understood and need everyday. Social studies in the development of active citizenship as required by the course of social life plays an important role. This course is for students to be active participants and citizens must have an incentive content. The level of awareness for active citizenship in today's society students and students with high levels of constitutional and social studies textbooks content in order to grow must be given proper and adequate manner. Giving place to the acquisition of the constitution in the social studies curriculum and in this context it is important to reflect in accordance with this textbook. The aim of this study was to determine how the process of constitutional content in social studies textbooks. The research was designed according to qualitative research methods. Secondary document analysis was made through descriptive analysis of social studies textbooks. Analysis was used for making the checklist. The findings are; consistency with acquisitions, associating with taught to the courses in the same class, teaching-learning, training and visually out combined on the basis of sub-problems of compliance with the principles 5th, 6th and 7th grade each textbook was reviewed examined separately. Study consists of five main sections: introduction, theoretical knowledge, methods, findings, and results. As a result of descriptive analysis of textbooks; achievements in the social studies curriculum of textbooks that reflect the content of the constitution is determined to a large extent. The main problems encountered in the parts not reflected in the social studies textbooks for the constitution of the gains in social studies curriculum; constitution regarding a separate unit or the place did not reach the issue of constitutional definition and directly from the constitution without defining the concepts associated with and talking about the concept of associated issues while processing irrelevant and useless information in place given that, gains not included within the informations hould be provided on thebase. The relationship with other courses taught at the same grade level textbooks have been found to be very low. The principles of learning and teaching of the textbooks are largely appropriate. But this relationship with textbooks in their preparation and evaluation questions constitution has been found at low levels, while reasoning annoying questions and research for studying the question has rarely seen. This makes it difficult to apply the knowledge learned in theory. Visual material in the textbooks on the principles of order, it seems appropriate to the subject is interesting.
