Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to evaluate the texts prepared for the secondary school level (5- 8 grades) in Turkish textbooks in terms of the synectic technique, one of the creative thinking techniques. The data set of the research consists of the secondary school (5, 6, 7, 8th grade) Turkish textbooks used from the 2005-2006 academic year until the 2018-2019 academic year. In all, 20 textbooks, which can be accessed by the researcher, are determined as datasets. Document analysis, one of the qualitative research methods, was used in the study. "Synectic Applications Form for Turkish Textbooks" was used as a data collection tool in the research. In order to analyze the data obtained in the research, content analysis, one of the qualitative data analysis techniques, was used. As a result of the examination, 320 examples of synectic application were determined in the Turkish textbooks. Direct analogue samples with a maximum of 120 (f) and 37.25% were found in the examples of 320 synectic samples. Fantasy analogy samples with a rate of 68 (f) and 21.25% are in the second place. These synectic samples are followed by suppressed conflict with 57 (f) and 17.81%. Direct analogies come next with the rate of 51 (f) and 15.93%. The type of analogy that has the lowest rate in the textbooks is the personal analogy samples with the rate of 24 (f) and 7.5%. As a result of the research, it has been determined that the texts in the Turkish textbook do not show a balanced distribution according to the synectic application examples and according to the text types. Accordingly, the most direct analogy and the least personal analogy were found among the synectic examples in the textbooks. The text type with the most synectic examples was determined as poetry.
