Teachers 'views on the resources of violence in secondary schools

The aim of the study is to determine the views of teachers in order to determine the sources of violence in secondary schools. Recent violence in schools has been observed to increase at an alarming level. In order to prevent these violent incidents in schools, the source of the violence must be known. The population of the study consists of teachers working in secondary schools in the districts of Mardin in the 2018-2019 academic years. The sample of the study was composed of 555 teachers who were selected from these schools by simple random method. In the study, the violence resources scale developed by Parladır (2009) was used as data collection tool. The scale is a data collection tool named 'Violence in Secondary Schools and Sources of Violence an which consists of 44 items prepared according to the five-point Likert-type rating scale. Percentage, standard deviation, t-test, variance analysis (ANOVA) and Scheffe significance test were used in the analysis and interpretation of the data collected through the scale. Significance level 'p <.05' was accepted. As a result of the research, it was concluded that teachers of their opinions dimensions of, 'technology caused 'and 'family caused' have an important place among the causes of violence in school. It has been examined whether there is a significant difference in the opinions of teachers according to the variables such as gender, seniority year, and type of school, education level and size of school. ' the size of the school' , In the variable 'caused arising from the physical structure and management of the school'; In the variable of 'educational status' , in the dimensions of 'teacher caused' and 'family caused'; in 'gender' variable dimensions 'teacher caused' and 'student caused'; In the 'seniority year' variable 'arising from the physical structure and management of the school '. There was no significant difference in the ' type of school' variable. There was a significant difference in the dimensions of casued 'the general problems of the education system '.
