Abstract (EN)
With his book ?Revolt of The Masses?, Jose Ortega Y Gasset, one of the most important and famous Spanish thinkers, tries to analyze the reason of the depression that Europe and Spain is going through right after the First World War. In his work, he finds the masses, who revolt and take over the governing power from the minorities, responsible for the depression. The philosophy of Ortega Y Gasset, one of the most popular elitist thinkers, is analyzed in this thesis with the circumstances that helped him to develop it. The historical reasons which caused him to take such an elitist stand are also analyzed in this thesis. Keywords :Ortega Y Gasset, Elitism, Elitist Theory, State Theory
