Abstract (EN)
Aim: It is the study of the extent to which surgical planning performed using lateral cephalometric films and plaster models taken before surgery in orthognathic surgery patients is realized after surgery. Materials and methods: The lateral cephalometric films taken before and after surgery of 77 individuals with skeletal Class III malocclusion who were treated with orthognathic surgery were drawn in the Dolphin 11.5 program, the films were transferred to the Adobe Photoshop program and overlapped. As a result of cephalometric and model analyses performed before surgery, the amount of planned and postoperative movement was compared. Results: The amount of movement in the maxilla was found to be 0.24 mm less than planned and 0.24 mm more in the mandible. Conclusion: Although the difference between the preoperative planning and the postoperative results is statistically significant, it does not have any clinical significance. Dec. The planning made on cephalometric films and plaster models before surgery gives extremely consistent results.
