Abstract (EN)
In this thesis, the frictionless contact problem for an elastic layer with thickness h impressed by two rigid punches is considered. It is assumed that the lower face of the elastic layer be hinged along area. This study consists of three chapters with conclusion and references sections. In chapter 1, from past to present some studies on the contact problems and singular integral equations are mentioned. In chapter 2, contact problem is defined and corresponding integral equation system is obtained with appropriate boundary value conditions and using equations of elasticity theory. The considired integral equations system is reduced to a linear equations system by using Gauss-Jacobi quadrature and collocation method. In chapter 3, considired for homogenous, orthotropic an elastic layer with thickness h frictionless contact problem is examined numerically. Distribution contact pressure beneath the punches system is investigated depending on geometrical and mechanical qualities of elastic layer. Moreover a special example is analyzed in this chapter.
