Abstract (EN)

Throughout the centuries various works that praise our Prophet Muhammad have been written in the İslâmic world. The most important of these works are two works named Kasîde-i Bürde, which are very famous in İslâmic world. The first of these is Kaab b. Züheyr's (d. 645?) work named Kasîde-i Bânet Süâd, which is better known by the name Bürde Kasîdesi. This person, who was one of the Sahabah, presented his work to the Prophet by reading it personally, and the Prophet liked this work very much, in return he gave his burdah (cardigan) to the poet. The second work is the work of Imam Bûsiri (d. 1296?), named Kâ'b. It is as famous as Zuheyr's work, and since it is believed that reciting it can heal mental illnesses, it has gained a holy identity in the İslâmic world. This work of Imam Bûsiri has been translated and spread by many scholars in different ages and has also been converted to tahmis shape. One of these scholars was Mohammed b. Muhammed Tebâdekânî (d. 891). The scholar first translated this work of Imam Bûsiri into Arabic and then translated the Arabic tahmis text into Persian. He named his work as Terceme-i Tahmisi Qasidah Burdah. This work constitutes the subject of our thesis. Firstly, the literature about the burdah written in Persian during the Ottoman period was analyzed, and after that the information about the life and works of Muhammed b. Muhammed Tebâdekânî was given. At the end, a literary examination of tahmis text was detailed in terms of content and form. Keywords: Qasidah Burdah, Tahmis, Horasan, Muhammed Tebâdekâni.
