Scouting movement in the Ottoman Empire (1910-1923)

In this thesis, the youth is detected as the social group on the base of nation- state ideology. With this approach to examine the relation between youth and policy studies it also examines the holding of World War narrative fiction before and after the emergence of the scout organization with it's activities in the Ottoman Empire and other paramilitary youth organization. Western nations after the 1789 French Revolution, and with the emergence of concepts such as nation , nation-state , country and countryman the youth percepted as a politic subject which it had experienced radical changes in it's education. Theoretician of the Scouting movement was a British man called General Baden Powell. Powell who worked in India, Africa and Canada , born in 1907, began to organize natural activities for young people in England after his retirement. In 1908 he wrote his experience in his book called ( Scouting for Boys). After this date, the UK, US and European countries began to spread the fashion of scouting. Scouting movement in the Ottoman Empire emerged as same as the framework of it's European organizations. The global mean for this period shows that the youth had dealt with it a common denominator. After the Balkan war the ottoman scouting organization got institutional meaning, Turkish nationalism and nationalist ideology form the social base of the regime's Constitutional , Turkish-Muslim population had gained popularity with the supporting of the government. The link between the members of the Ottoman Scout Organization and the ruling elite was to formate the organic "Turk" ethnics express that to install and to build the identity of the mission. For this reason , the organization, disiplind future, obedient, physically strong and well trained, self-contained, every kind of difficulty and masculine "soldier boy" were carrying out the activity as a restructuring intended to educate the Muslim-Turkish youth and mobilized.
