Abstract (EN)
In this study the development of clarinet in Ottoman Empire was investigated. Clarinet is in woodwind evelued from chalumeau by a German musical instrument maker J. C. Denner in 1690. Development of clarinet in Ottoman Empire has great by been affected by the changes due to bileteral relations with western countries and the westernization of Ottoman Empire. Historical situation an importance of clarinet, in a period extending from which start Mehterhane to Muzıka-ı Humayun enlightens the changes over the instrument during the Ottoman period.
