Abstract (EN)

XVI. Century was the period when the Ottoman State was peak; in the political, military and economic field as well as in knowledge and science. In this century, many scholars in the field of knowledge and science have grown up and left important works. In the search of the literature, it is seen that the works of commentary and postscript were important, but original works were also given, in the age of Ottoman State ascension. In particular, three Turkish theologians such as Shaykh al-Islâm İbn Kemâl, Taşköprülüzâde Ahmed Efendi and Imam Birgivi, which are famous in this century, draw attention. Ibn Kemal was in the service of the state, and therefore he resigned the people's hesitations with the revelations he had made against the Shi'i propagandas which were intense at that time, and gave the unity of the country as a support for the country. Taşköprülüzâde has represented an eclectic scholar type combining philosophy, theological speech and mysticism. Birgivi, on the other hand, has made the people conscious with the lessons and sermons he has given to the people and has struggled with bid'at and hypha. It is seen that these scholars have made intensive efforts to adopt the HanefîMaturidî school of Islamic sects, and to establish the Sunni Islamic understanding both in the state and in the public, although there are different opinions on some issues. They have served the state and the nation throughout their lives according to the morality and education they have. Key Words: Ottoman, Theology, İbn Kemâl, Taşköprülüzâde Ahmet, Birgivî
