The 1908 Strikes In The Ottoman Empire and Ta'til-i Eşgal Law

In the year of 1908 which was the disintegration phase for the Ottoman Empire , Young Turks took over the administration by a revolution, dethroned Sultan Abdulhamit II and declared Meşrutiyet for the second time. Thus, İttihat ve Terakki Cemiyeti obtained the opportunity to regulate legal reforms. As from 1870?s, the strike movements which were made by the Ottoman worker masses who were not satisfied for the conditions they were in, carried on by intensifying in the ambiance of freedom that has been seen after The Revolution of 1908. Particularly, to prevent the worker strikes which were seen in Rumelia and The Balkans, İttihat ve Terakki Cemiyeti issued Ta?til-i Eşgal Kanunu. In this way, both strikes were trying to prevent and made some new and important regulations about the working relations.
