Ottoman-Hungarian relations and catalog of Ottoman documents in Hungarian national archives (1536-1728)

This study consists of three parts. In the first part, Ottoman-Hungarian relations from the emergence of Hungarians to the loss of Hungary until the Ottomans were mentioned in general. Although the subject is generally considered as a political history, information about the administrative, socio-economic and religious structure in Ottoman Hungary was also given. In the second part of our study, the Ottoman documents in the Hungarian National Archives (Magyar Nemzeti Levéltár Országos Levéltára) in Budapest, Hungary were examined. The information about the fund code of the documents, the code of the shirt, the place of arrival or destination, the date and the content of the document is given in a table. In the final part of our study, some information about the archive and documents is given. In the appendices, there are examples of documents in various languages and forms. The study was designed with the intention of being useful for researchers working on Ottoman-Hungarian or Turkish-Hungarian relations.
