Abstract (EN)

Since the very old times of history, the number forty has been regarded as holy and fortune. Especially in the Middle East and all over the world, the holiness given to the number Forty can be seen in divine religions and old civilizations. Throughout history, many Forty Hadiths works have been written in Arabic, Persian and Turkish and it has turned into a tradition over time. Forty Hadith works formed by choosing Forty Hadiths on the same or different issues have also been written by poets, Sufis, and various other occupational groups apart from the scholar. Forty Hadiths have given the principles of Islam on belief, worship, morality, and other issues in a simplicity that people can understand; and played an effective role in giving rise to desired changes in religious attitudes and behaviours of individuals. It has become easier for people to get access to religious information by Forty Hadiths. Large collections of hadith have been reduced to portable dimensions and quantity. As the Forty Hadiths works were constituted. Hadith sources that require expectancy to understand have been turned into a simplicity that masses of people can understand. When analysed in terms of education and training, we see that the Forty Hadiths tradition has a significant function in the education of religion. It is seen that there have been various reasons for Forty Hadiths writing Ottomans showed great interest in Forty Hadiths. In the Ottomans, studies of copyright, translation and expound were not only made in Turkish but also in Arabic and Persian. It has been seen that Forty Hadiths written in Turkish are more successful than the ones written in Arabic and Persian. It has been seen that sixty Forty Hadiths works were made between XIV and XXI and twelve of them were printed and published. In this research, twelve Forty Hadiths works written in Turkish in the Ottaman have been studied in terms of religious education. In this study, generally, the historical course purposes of writing the types and the subjects of Forty Hadiths have been searched. Similar and different sides, educational principles and methods, and the importance of the Forty Hadiths works have also been included in this study.
