Abstract (EN)

Today, in postmodern era, it is known that most of the operations and data monitoring has been done by software packages. It is inevitable for hotels which is one of the labor intensive sectors. Within the context of this study, it is aimed to establish an information system that will control and save data, make order and purchase operations easy and monitor material usage and cleaning process as a whole. It is a case study that is implemented in one of the foreign chain hotels settled in Ankara and sample of the study is the typical sampling, which is one of the type of purposive sampling. Data collecting tools are; survey, interview and document analyses. Therefore forecasted room sales, bill of materials, stock information, ordering process which are inputs for Material Requirement Planning (MRP) are collected. After having system analyses and design, an information system for MRP has been developed for hotels in cleaning process. This software is a web based system and its database management system is SQL Server 2008 R2 and all codings are made by C #. Forecasting tool in the model base forecasts reservations. This software has 6 modules; Management, Operations, Reports, Definitions, Laundry and User. While this software controls the material flow and material usage in the process of hotel cleaning, at the same time it is an user friendly system that monitors and controls stocks and presents reports.
