Abstract (EN)

In international markets, significant changes occur risk management practices and control approaches. Thus Basel I Accord became deficient for the needs and new accord was required. Basel II New Accord was prepared as a regulation which aimed more delicate risk measurement.The basic of this study is to determine activities which must be done in the hotel managements process compliance Basel II Accord. Besides this aim, there are sub aims find out knowledge level and regulations in the hotel managements in accordance with Basel II Accord.The population of this study is 43 five star hotel managements which have tourism establishment certificate. The sample of this study is 19 hotel managements which have knowledge about Basel II Accord. In this study qualitative research method was used. The study datas attained were obtained by the interview method from accounting and finance managers. Descriptive analysis was used in analysis of the data which was obtained. As a result, it was determined that, the accounting and finance administrators of 19 hotel managements within the scope of study have knowledge about Basel II Accord and in their hotel managements there is an appropriate operation of Basel II Accord.Keywords: Basel I Accord, Basel II Accord, Five Stars Hotel Management, Turkey, İstanbul.
