The relationship between transformational leadership and innovation management in hotel businesses

The relationship between transformational leadership and innovation management is one of the issues that are important for hotel businesses to reach their goals in practice and should be dealt with from a theoretical point of view. In this direction, the aim of the study is to determine the relationship between transformative leadership and innovation management in hotel businesses. The sample of the research consists of employees in different departments of 4 and 5 star hotels operating in the Southern Marmara region. Surveys were sent to 550 people in total, and 457 people were surveyed within the framework of the regularly received data. Frequency, normality test, reliability, exploratory factor analysis, correlation and regression analyzes were performed on the obtained data. According to the results of the study; there is a statistically positive and significant relationship between transformational leadership and innovation management (β=0.829, p<0.000); It was concluded that transformational leadership has a statistically significant and positive effect on innovation management (β=0.829, p<0.000, R2=0.687).
