Abstract (EN)

The research was carried out in four stages. Each step of the research includes the following objectives; 1) children with autism disorder (ASD) response to different robotic apperances, 2) the effectiveness of teaching process presented by implementer with robotic appearence to teach participants the skills to response to joint attention bids and the effectiveness of teaching process presented by implenter without robot costume to teach participants the skills to response to joint attention bids and 3) whether there is a meaningful difference in the development of the participants' skills to response to the joint attention bids between implementer with robotic appearence and implementer (without costume) in teaching interventions was examined and 4) the social validity of the research was determined by taking the opinions of the parents participating in the research and the special education teachers about the research. The study was conducted with ten participants aged 5-6 years. The research is designed to be multiple methods. According to research findings, participants with ASD were more likely respond to the implementer with robotic appearence but they were less likely respond to the implementer without costume. The findings of the research's effectiveness show that the graduated guidance process provided by the implementer with robotic appearence and the implementer's (without costume) teaching is effective in the acquisition and generalization of the participant's skills to response to the joint attention bids. According to findings, between the teaching process provided by the implementer with robotic appearence and the teaching process provided by the implementer (without the costume), in order to improve the skills of the participants' response to the joint attention bids, there is a significant difference in the favor of teaching offered by the implementer with robotic appearence. Participants' parents and special education teachers expressed positive opinions about the research.
