Compare of otogen cancellous bone graft and heterograft combined with bone marrow histopathologically in experimental bone defects

Ill SUMMARY In this thesis, otogen cancellous bone graft and heterograft combined red bone marrow compared histopathologically. In the present study, 27 adult rabbits were distinguished three groups. Following the induction of general anesthesia with intramuscular ketamine, the anterior surface of right tibia of the rabbits were surgically exposed, and three holes with 3 mm. in diameter were prepared on them for investigation. One hole was filled with otogen cancellous bone, the other hole was filled heterograft combined red bone marrow and the other unfilled hole was used as control. At the postoperative 1., 3. and 6. weeks, rabbits from each group were sacrified in equal numbers, and defective regions were extracted. Kruskal-Wallis statistic test was applied to the data obtained in the result of histopathologic survey of specimens and results were discussed according to literatures.
