Abstract (EN)

Objektive: Autologous stem cell transplantation can offer potential long-term remission or cure in patients with non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) and Hodgkin lymphoma (HL). In our study, we aimed to compare our data with literature. Materials and Methods: 108 NHL patients and 56 HL patients with autologous stem-cell transplantation in Ege University Hospital from January 2008 through December 2014 for relapsed or refractory HL and NHL were analysed retrospectively . The information about the patients who are included is reached from Ege University recorded data. Results: 164 patients could be evaluated after transplantation. Median age of HL was 40 years (22-69) and NHL was 53 years (19-70) . 41 (38%) patients were female , 67 (62%) were male from all of 108 NHL patients. 20 (35%) were female , 36 (%65) were male from all of 56 HL patients. 13 of the patients died in during transplantation period. 1 of them who was died in earyl period is HL, 12 of them who were died in early period are NHL.Complete remission was obtained in 37 (67.27 %) in HL; 52 (54.16 %) in NHL.Partial remission in 9 (16%) in HL; 25 (26 %) in NHL. Refractory disease in 9 (16%) in HL;19 (19.7%) in NHL. After autolog transplantation in HL patients, the median following time is 50 months. (12-180). 11 patients (20% of 55 HL) gave up following, 29 (52.7%) patients did not relaps , 15 (27 %) patients relapsed and 9 (16.3%) patients died in during time. After autolog transplantation in NHL patients, the median following time is 36 months. (5-110). 16 patients (16% of 96 HL) gave up following, 38 (39%) patients did not relaps , 42 (43%) patients relapsed and 42 (43%) patients died in during time. Overall survival and progression free survival is significantly higher in HL patients than NHL patients after autolog transplantation. Conclusion:The treatment of relaps/refractory HL and NHL is complicated even using new chemotherapy agents and radiotherapy. Autologous stem-cell transplantation is the standard treatment of relapsed or refractory HL and NHL patients. we aimed to compare our data with literature.
