Abstract (EN)
Automotive lighting has a big role in the appearance of the cars. Exterior Lighting which was started for security reasons in the traffic, is becoming more important in the style of the car. That is why different materials and surfaces are used for the unique design needs. More compact and unique designs can be done with the use of LEDs. Scope of this thesis is to investigate new materials and surfaces' effects to the Light output. Special manufactured materials were also used rather than standard materials to see the differences between them. Homogeneous or good light output is a concept which is different for any human. Homogeneous light distribution definition for this thesis is to be as homogeneous as any other lamps in the market. When a comparison was made between lamps in the market and the lamp created for this thesis, it has been seen that distance between light sources and lens is less than other lamps in the market. Graining on the surfaces of inner lens was applied to scatter the light more but this was not enough. That is why special scattering materials were forced to use. According to results, it will be the best choice to make a performance-price index before choosing the material, since special materials are expensive compared to most sold materials.
