Abstract (EN)

In this study, it was aimed to investigate some mechanical properties of three different types of steel used in the automotive industry, most commonly used for advanced high strength steel (AHSS) types, by welding with resistance spot welding, which is one of the welding methods widely used in this sector. It is also intended to examine the welds in accordance with the acceptance criteria set out in the AWS 8.1M standard. For this purpose, steel types supplied in different thicknesses from the companies in the sector were first welded in their own types and then in different combinations with each other. After this process, tensile shear according to TS EN ISO 14273, manual peeling according to TS EN ISO 14270 and manual peeling tests according to TS EN ISO 10447 were applied and the results were interpreted with the aid of graphics and tables.n At the same time, according to the acceptance criteria defined in the AWS 8.1M standard, some criteria such as nugget diameters, surface indentation, sheet separation were examined. In addition, the microstructure and hardness values of the base metal, HAZ, the weld nugget have been examined.
