Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to examine the sensation seeking levels and leisure satisfaction of individuals participating in outdoor recreation activities according to individual variables and to reveal the relationships between the concepts. The study was designed as a survey research based on the quantitative research paradigm and 228 subjects participated in the study voluntarily. The Sensation Seeking Scale and the Leisure Satisfaction Scale were used as data collection tools in the study. SPSS 26 Package Program was used in data analysis and in addition to percentage, frequency and cross tabulation analyses, independent sample t-test, Pearson Correlation analysis and Simple Linear Regression analyses were used as hypothesis tests. As a result, it was determined that male participants' sensation seeking levels and physiological leisure satisfaction levels were higher than female participants, there was a negative low correlation between age and sensation seeking, whereas there was a positive low correlation between age and leisure satisfaction for rest. In addition, while positive low or medium correlations were determined between all factors related to sensation seeking and leisure satisfaction, it was understood that sensation seeking was a predictor of leisure satisfaction.
