Abstract (EN)
In this study, the effect of game supported teaching to students' success in teaching basic geometrical concepts and acquirements of drawing in 5th grade was researched. The study was performed in Sinop Mehmet Akif Ersoy Secondary School in 2014-2015 scholar year. Experimental and control groups were determined from 5th grades. Experimental and control groups consist of 30 students. During the study, the lessons were taught with the game supported teaching method in experimental group and the lessons were taught with the teaching method determined in the present curriculum. In the study, the geometrical success test which was developed by the researcher was used as a data collection tool. This measuring tool was applied to experimental and control group as pre-test before application and was applied as final test after application and was applied as permanence test 3 weeks after the final test. While analyzing the data gained in the study, independent group T-test, standard deviation, arithmetic mean, Post Hoc Test, One Way Anova and Shapiro Wilk Test were used. Data were analyzed with SPSS program. As a result of the study, the outcome was gained as in teaching basic geometrical concepts and acquirements of drawing, game supported teaching which was applied to the experimental group increased students' success and this method had an effect on permanence.
