Abstract (EN)

The concept of work, which could be defined as 'set of actions formed around an objective, and time and process committed to these actions', might be related with the terms 'obligation, binding nature and discipline'; therefore it brings the definition of 'spare time'. in modern day, spare time; as grounded in 'remaining time before and after work', enriched its defini ti on by phrases 'without any obligations or binding ground', 'varying in terms of meaining' and 'shaped by free will'. In this regard; for centuries, game has been one of the most crucial activites when it comes to worthwile use of spare time. in the course of time, the concept of the game has been changed in terms of culturaJ and social class, and differences between generations; as well as shape, form, gaming environment and gaming tools. As it affects many different industries; changing and developing technology has moved the concept of game into virtuaJ platform as well; therefore laid the foundation of digital gaming industry. Under the concept of digital gaming; characteristic aspects of a game such as satisfaction of curiosity, having a challenge, socializing and having fun have been started to experienced by players individually and interactively. Besides, current production and consumption rate; their effect on society and concept of coınmunication has resulted mobile devices becoming an irreplaceable part of our lives. Consequently, the concept of game has been moved to mobile platform, and tumed out to be a meta in no time. in the article, effects of graphic practices, which applied for advertising of mobile games, on preference for game has been examined. The hypothesis is supported by a survey, targeting a group of 20 gamers and an interview with a game designer.
