Abstract (EN)

Forming healthy eating habits is becoming more and more important in dealing with increasing health issues. It is thought that the use of marketing activities and the food sector in support of healthy lifestyles can help reduce existing health issues that may occur, and may help reduce current and future public health expenditures, and increase quality of life. This study aims to shape eating habits and food consumption, and find a means of reducing health issues. It can be considered of great importance to make choosing healthy preferences entertaining and effective through gamification in this regard. In this study, an experimental research method was used to examine the effect of gamification on the dietary preferences of consumers. By the research, the participants were randomly assigned to make food choices from the menus that were presented in a gamified or non-gamified menus. Total calorie amounts of the dishes they selected were tested with experimental design by evaluating nutrition consciousness levels.
