Abstract (EN)

Lullaby, in general terms, has functions such as calming and sleeping the crying child. In the meantime, the singer reflects his/her feelings and thoughts in the text by expressing them with words of love, praise and criticism. Therefore, this Folk Literature product, which has a specific melody, is sung to children in every corner of the world. Since the earliest periods of history, it is among the elements that have developed and developed until today and have undergone changes in terms of its continuation. In particular, with the change in social norms brought about by the age of technology and the change in social norms such as the employment of mothers, we can say that this genre has been stripped of its function of being performed and has assumed the function of listening. Accordingly, lullaby has an important position in Uzbek Oral Literature, especially in Turkey. This position will be examined and evaluated in the context of in-depth examination of lullaby texts, further illuminating its content and revealing its different features.
