A study on social space and social memory in Özdemir Asaf's works

The aim of this thesis is to examine the poems and proses of Özdemir ASAF in terms of social space and social memory. In order to conduct this study, firstly all the works of the poet were tried to be reached. The poet's life and his outlook on life and the difficulties that he experienced have been searched and their reflections on their works have been studied. It has been observed that his poems and proses cannot be taken apart from the poet's life. After obtaining the necessary information about the poet, the concepts of social space and social memory have been tried to be explained with a literature review. In the next stage, the poems and proses found in the books, which were reached, were tried to be handled within the framework of the thesis title. It has been tried to examine the inner world of the poet, the words that he used in his poems and the meaning that the poet attributed to the space and the objects, memories, songs etc. that accomplish the memory transfer.
