The effect of core exercises on upper extremity postural structure of high school students

Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this research is to research the effect of core exercises on some physical feature sand upper extremity posture structure on young individuals. 30 male students who are non-sport regularly, between 16-18 years and study in high school join in this study voluntarily in Elazığ. Participants are divided into two groups, subject and control group, both groups are consisted of 15 people. Among these groups, subject one do core exercises, which are arranged specially, for 3 days in a week during 8 weeks. Control group, on the other hand, doesn't make any study and go on their normal lives. Before and after the study of subject and control groups height, weight, body fat ratio, body mass index, leg strength, back strength, flexibility, upper extremity posture measurements from all four sides (front, back, right, left) and adams (bending forward) test are made. From obtained results with using the statistical program SPSS 22.0 and Independent Samples T test and Paired Samples T test,pre-test post-test comparisons and comparisons between two groups are made statistically according to level of significance p<0,05, p<0,01. As a result, it is determined that core exercises effect some physical features and upper extremity posture structures of male individuals between 16-18 years positively.
