Abstract (EN)
Educational practices organized for individuals who differ from their peers in terms of individual characteristics are called "special education". These educational activities take place in special education schools. In this context, there are various courses in special education programs. One of these courses is the Religious Culture and Moral Knowledge (DKAB) course. Therefore, the aim of this study is to evaluate the DKAB course in the third level of special education practice school from the point of view of teachers. In this study, many contents of the DKAB course in the third level of special education schools were evaluated according to the opinions of the participants. These contents are curriculum, textbook, educational environment, student attitude and teacher competence. These contents were evaluated by the course teachers. In this context, this study is a qualitative research. The design of the research is case study. The study group was reached by extreme or outlier sampling method. In this context, 10 DKAB teachers working in special education practice schools in various provinces constitute the study group. Data were collected through semi-structured interview forms made face-to-face and over the phone. The obtained data were evaluated by content analysis. In the results of working; It has been seen that the contents in the textbook are not suitable for the level of the students, the teachers do not have the necessary competence in the field of special education, the educational environment affects the efficiency in religious education, and DKAB teachers use more than one method while teaching. At the same time, it was seen in the results of the study that the contents in the textbook did not meet the learning needs of the students, the attitudes of the students towards the lesson depended on the DKAB teacher, and the participants had difficulty in conveying the abstract content in the curriculum.
