Abstract (EN)
This study aims to determine the relationship between organizational commitment and job satisfaction of special education vocational school teachers. In the research, correlational survey model in general survey models was used. Participants of this study were teachers working in special education vocational schools in Ankara. This study aims to reach overall population. 201 participants could attend out of 283 teachers in total. As a data collection tool "Organizatonal Commitment Scale" developed by Meyer, Allen and Smith and "Minnesota Job Satisfaction Scale" developed by their collegues were used in the study. In the analysis of data SPSS 24 was used. As a result of data obtained from this study, it was concluded that teachers in special education vocational school generally feel commitment to their organizations, however; they are linked to their schools at least normatively but at most emotionally. It was found out that there is no significant difference in the level of teacher's organizational commitment in gender, age and professional seniority variables but there is significant difference in branch and educational background variables. It was concluded that the level of job satisfaction is in a high level for theteachers in special education vocational schools, they mostly have inner satisfaction in subscales of job satisfaction. In teacher's job satisfaction, there is no significant difference in the variables of gender, age, educational background and professional seniority but a significant difference in branch variable. It was observed that there are positively significant correlations between organizational commitment and job satisfaction of the teachers working in special education vocational schools. Besides, positively significant correlations were found when subscales of organizational commitment and job satisfaction of the teachers working in special education vocational schools. It was concluded that organizational commitment of teachers is a predictor variable of job satisfaction. As a result, it can be recommended for the special education teachers and other teachers in special education schools that they have to get the right of depreciation for the time they work for these schools and early retirement. After all people can work through the investment and increment of social statues for the teachers.
