The proficiency of the teachers who are graduated form the department of special education and the teachers who are graduated form the departments other than special educationin relation to preparing and practicing '' individualized education schedule''

The aim of the present study is to display the proficiency of the teachers who are graduated from the department of special education and the teachers who are graduated from departments other than special education in relation to preparing and practicing ?Individualized Education Schedule? in the special education area.This research is a kind of descriptive study to reveal the proficiency of the teachers who are working on special education area in Ankara in relation to preparing and practicing ?Individualized Education Schedule?.The sample of this research is composed of the teachers who are working at Modern Educational Demonstration School and Job-Training Centre in the city centre of Ankara; at Batıkent Educational Demonstration School and Job Training Centre; Mili Piyango Başkent Occupational Training Centre; Eryaman Educational Demonstration School and Job Training Centre; Hurin Yavuz Alp Educational Demonstration School and Job Training Centre; Sincan Ali Aktürk Educational Demonstration School; Sincan School of Occupation, Ankara Lions Club Education Centre For Autistic Children; Special Education Class of Gazi Osman Paşa Primary School; and Special Education Class of Gülten Kösemen Primary School.The data collected has been analyzed by transferring the data to the computer. The package program of SPSS 11,0 (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) has been used for analyzing the data and frequencies, percentage and mean has been used to interpret the data.The Results of this research display that the majority of both the teachers graduated from the department of special education and the teachers graduated from different departments are not sufficiently qualified in the area of preparing and practicing ?Individualized Education Schedule?. However, it is said that the teachers graduated from special education department are more independent and more proficient in relation to preparing and practicing ?Individualized Education Schedule? compared to the teachers graduated from departments other than special education.
