The problems and expectations related to these problems of teachers working in special education and rehabilitation centers in context of students' education

The aim of this study is to determine the views of the teachers working in Special Education and Rehabilitation Centers, affiliated to the Ministry of Education, related to the duties that the teachers expect their students' parents to undertake for the students' education. The research sample is made up of the 20 teachers working in Special Education and Rehabilitation Centers located in the neighborhoods of Konyaaltı, Muratpaşa and Kepez involved in the city of Antalya. This is a qualitative research, and phenomenology design was implemented in this study. The data in this study was acquired through the 30 minute long individual interviews and semi-structured interview forms. The interviews were recorded and the data was analyzed through the content analysis. The results of the research involves in the findings reflecting the teachers' views. These findings present the clues in relation to the problems faced by the teachers working in special education and rehabilitation centers, their expectations from the parents, and the ways to solve these problems.
