Abstract (EN)
In this study; It is aimed to determine the opinions of those who care for individuals with special needs regarding their experiences in the Covid-19 process. The participants of the study, which was designed as a phenomenology, consisted of twelve mothers who are caregivers of individuals with special needs. Research data were collected through semi-structured interviews, researcher diary and document analysis techniques. The analysis of data was carried out with content analysis, starting from discovering what the caregivers of individuals with special needs experienced during the pandemic process and what this experience means for them. In this context, care has been taken to reveal the themes that can express the experiences of caregivers. The research findings were presented in a descriptive manner by referring to direct quotations. As a result of the analysis; Findings about the experiences, problems, support received, insights and needs related to the pandemic process were reached. Caregivers describe the Covid-19 process as frightening, disrupting their routines and making difficult conditions even more difficult. It has been learned that they have problems in spending time at home and interfering with problem behaviors. It is seen that there is no institution/organization in the lives of caregivers other than family, close environment and teachers. n addition, they have needs in many areas such as care, information, financial, social interaction and psychological support. It can be suggested that they be supported and appropriate strategies should be developed for a possible pandemic or similar disaster situations.
