In this era of which we call as technology and information era; while we are taking advantages of developing and evolving technology in any field of life, we are also aware of that our rights and freedoms are at stake. The right of secrecy of private life is the most common right that is invased. For this reason; in order to protect the right , there appeared a need to provide punitive sanctions by laws. Aforementioned protection has arosen from invasion of individuals using technology on one hand, and the need to provide legal background to precautions that are used by state using technology and fighting against crime on the other.Our study aims to study the crime of invasion of private life?s secrecy. In Turkey, this crime is regulated by the Turkish Penal Code , numbered 5237. For making the subject clearer, terms of private life and protection of private life are tried to be explained in light of especially European Convention on Human Rights and juridical writs.In second chapter, we discussed the regulations on right of secrecy of private life taking place in our legislation. And in third chapter, regulation taking place in Turkish Penal Code artc. 134 about crime of invasion of private life?s secrecy is broadly examined.
