The effect of psychological robustness and job satisfaction of teachers working in private schools on their levels of professional burnout: The sample of Mardin province

Abstract (EN)

Education is the most important element in the rise of a society to the level of modern civilization. The structural features and purpose of the education system constitute the basis of capturing contemporary civilization and ensuring development. Teaching; It is important because it is a profession that gives people knowledge, skills, emotions, value and behavior. To be successful in his profession; The characteristics of the teacher, who depends on being physically, socially and mentally healthy, and the conditions of business life are in constant interaction. It is directly proportional to teachers' ability to do their profession effectively, to perceive their talents and self-confidence. But; The problems that teachers face and have to struggle can cause their psychological soundness, lack of satisfaction from their profession and experience a sense of burnout caused by the stress of the profession. In this research, the data were surveyed on 260 teachers working in schools operating as private institutions in mardin province and callected yhen. The questionnaire was analyzed with brief psychological scale which includes 6 items, minnesta job satisfaction scale which includes 20 items, maşlah burnout ınventory which includes 22 items, SPSS statistics 17.00 and Lisren 9.1 programs. Dta analysis was performed on the total scares obtained fro the scales. While the internal satisfaction scores, which are job satisfaction and sub-dimension, show a significant difference according to gender, psychological resilience and burnout do not show a significant difference in burnout sub-dimensions. It is observed that the average of job satisfaction and internal satisfaction is higher in women than men. It was determined that the teachers who chose their profession willingly have meaningful dimensions in terms of job satisfaction, internal satisfaction, external satisfaction, burnout, emotional burnout, depersonalization and personal success. Depersonalization and personal achievement scores, which are sub-dimensions of burnout, show a significant difference according to marital status, whereas psychological resilience, job satisfaction and burnout do not show a significant difference according to marital status in emotional burnout sub-dimension. The depersonalization and personal success averages are higher in singles than in married people. As a result, ıt was found that psycholocical stability and job satisfaction of teachers working in privete schools had a significant effect on Professional burnout. In addition, as a resuıt of simple and multiple linear regression analysis: ın the psychological robustness and job satisfaction sub-dimensions, internal satisfaction and externl satisfaction played a role on burnout.
