This research is accomplished to find out how teachers and directors of secondary schools attach importance to occupational values, and to investigate the relation between occupational values and personality traits. In this research, occupational values are examined under the dimensions of `creativity and mental encouragement, economic benefits, success,independence and relationships with superiors,prestige,self sacrifice, safety,variety,life style and the relationships with friends, and environment; also, differentiations of the mentioned dimensions according to demographic features are investigated. The questionnaire, prepared on planned goal, was applied to 327 teachers and managers who are working for government or private schools in Üsküdar and Kadıköy districts of İstanbul in 2008?2009 Educational season.The analyze of the gained information in the research was fullfilled on computer by using SPSS-15 computer program. To test the reliability of the questionnaire, Alfa-coefficient(Coranbach Alfa) was used , to determine demographic distribution of pattern group, frequency and persentage defining statistics, to determine occupational values of teachers and managers, mean value and Standard deviation, and to determine the relation between occupational value and demographic properties of teachers and managers, t-test and variable analyzes were used. As the research of the factor analyze of the work value scale ,there has not been found a meaningful relation by means of statistics between 'the dimensions of creativity and mental encouragement,economic benefits,success,independence and relationships with superiors,life style and the relationships with friends,prestige,safety,variety' and the branchs,sexes and educational levels of the participants.however, there has been found some meaningful relation between other dimensions and variables , there is relation between variables and other dimensions.
