Investigation of the subject and power the analysis of Alev Alatlı novels

In this study, it is intended to analyse deep and surface layers of novels of Alev Alatlı, who is one of novelists after 1980, within the framework of subject-power relationship. Forming the basis of human history, subject-power relationship is one of the basic elements of conflict taken into by novelist who has opportunity of omnidirectional reading of life. With the intent of preserving the Universal human values, Alatlı who discusses this formation within historical context, constitutes fictionality of characters and themes in her novels in this framework. Thus, encompassing effect of social acceptances and power relations has tried to be analysed on philosophical and sociological plane in this study. When appearances in the literary field of the formation of the subjects during historical process are considered, it is revealed that each subject comprises historical code of his society. Historical codes occur in the framework of the subject and power relations within political, social, economic, religious plane. Explaining the meaning of novel characters as subjects is for both as a subject criticism articulated to Western and how subject are created in practice with social systems. According to the novel's context subject is produced and constituted by power structures. According to the dominant understanding, orientation and ideology of each term, operation of areas that there is power draws attention for embodiment of the subject reveal the relationship with power. It is seen that international and local power structures use their discourse unity, power relations and information dominance for the normalization of the subject in novels. So, study has discussed the side of power penetrating everywhere in the social sphere within the framework of subject-power relationship in Alatlı novels making social issues fictional.
