Abstract (EN)
Pablo Casals is a Catalan cellist who left his mark on the twentieth century. He came from a small town of Catalonia and became famous throughout nearly the whole world. He reached countless numbers of people in his roles of composer, cellist and conductor, and his fame reached beyond his era. In this work, the life story of world famous cellist, composer and conductor Pablo Casals and the mark he left on the history of music are examined. This research is the format of a literature review. The first part consists of sections that organize the review of Casals life story from the point of view of distinct periods and function, namely dividing the material into sections such as his childhood and education, international career, politics and relations. In the second part, his role in the history of music has been examined and highlights of his life story sequenced chronologically in accordance with the information presented in the first part. His works and discography are also listed.
